The Information We Collect
We collect information directly from individuals, from third-parties, and automatically through the Solvers platform. If you choose not to disclose certain personal information, it may limit your access to certain services or features, including account registration, and the ability to follow other Solvers users or share content on other sites.
Although the platform enables anonymous participation, in some instances in order to use certain Products or Services, we require account registration. This requires a name associated with your account, an email address at which we can contact you, and in some cases, additional information including, a contact address, a billing address, and a password to help secure your personal information.
We collect and store the information and content that you post to the Q&A platform, including your questions, answers, photos, and comments. Unless you have posted certain content anonymously, your content is publicly viewable on the Solvers platform, along with your name. This also may be indexed by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Internet in accordance with our Terms of Service.
When you communicate with us (via email, phone, through the Quora Platform or otherwise), we may maintain a record of your communication.
You can elect to sign in or sign up to the Solvers platform through a linked network (i.e., Facebook or Google). If you elect to sign up through a Linked Network, we receive certain profile and account information about you from the Linked Network. The specific information provided to us by Linked Networks is determined by these third parties and may vary by network. In all cases, the permissions page for the Linked Network will describe the information being shared.
Advertising and Marketing Partners
When you register for an account, and when you interact with Solvers platform, we and authorized third parties place cookies on you and your account activity as described in more detail within our Cookies Policy. We use this information to serve you certain advertising content.
Purposes for collecting your information
We do not sell your personal data – such as your name and contact information – to third parties to use for their own marketing purposes. We collect the information above for our legitimate interests which include the following:

The security of your information is important to us. Quora has implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe, such as choosing a strong password and keeping it private, as well as logging out of your user account, and closing your web browser when finished using the Solvers platform on a shared or unsecured device.
